Ronald Plummer RIP

Sadly the next Branch get together was saying goodbye to Ronald Plummer, it was nice to see those who came to pay their respects including David Scott Ted Browning,

Ron was one of the founder members of the Bolton Branch and gave us his support, until his recent illness, he was present at all occasions including collection & visits to the ITC, he was always welcome at such events being one of those who served after the war with A Company 1 para in Palestine.

You can tell the love he had for the regiment he asked to be buried with his beret in place so if in the future the coffin is opened they find Ron with his beloved Marron beret on. the was a small turnout at the Church in Radcliffe for the First part of the service, however the second part at the cemetery we did him proud,

Mr  Stuart Speakman played the Last post, afterward he said he was proud to do this small act of remembrance for Ron. apart for those who had to work we had almost the full branch some in their work clothing having left work to join us, and there was a guard of honour by the roadside for Ron,
